Located in the new Energy Transition Valley innovation zone, the ULTIUM consortium's Quebec battery facility, formed by POSCO and GM, is one of the first cathode-active materials (CAM) facilities to be operational in Canada.
This project is a stimulating challenge that brings together confidential process issues in a highly secure building. That's why we're sharing just a glimpse until we can tell you more.
In a nutshell, the Ultium Cam plant is :
- A large number of regional, national and international stakeholders;
- Complex document management;
- A design-build project carried out in collaboration with the PABM joint venture (Pomerleau, Alberricci and Barton Mallow) in batches and to a very tight schedule;
- Atypical integration of automated systems and robotic elements;
- Building code regulatory analysis carried out in a methodical, evolutionary process.
