The redevelopment of the site near the ByWard Market, which already housed the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG), has greatly contributed to the vibrancy of the federal capital's downtown area.
We enlarged and partially renovated the existing building to accommodate not only the GAO, but also the University of Ottawa's theater and visual arts departments.
The new section of the building forms the John Ruddy Cube, whose backlit facades are a landmark in the heart of the city. The construction of an imposing 22-story tower housing Le Germain Ottawa hotel and ArtHaus condos completes this vast real estate project. The kind of challenge we love!
