With a long career distinguished by numerous recognizable, exciting architectural accomplishments, Regis Cote has always made a point of promoting sustainable design, conceived and designed to a human scale. His creative and entrepreneurial approach have enabled him over the past 35 years to grow a firm that now has seven offices in Canada and International. Throughout his career he has devoted a great amount of energy to opening up the profession, particularly by showing how much value is added by involving the architect in fields traditionally reserved for engineers. He was also one of the pioneers in designing large scale hydroelectric plants. A graduate of the Ecole nationale des beaux-arts du Quebec after earning a bachelor's degree in architecture from Universite Laval in 1974, he sits as a director on numerous boards and was recently inducted into the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
